Osama Najim
Najim is the head of the Directorate of Judicial Security. He is allied with the Special Deterrence Force (SDF) and runs several prisons in the Tripoli area.
He has a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. On May 13, 2025, the Government of National Unity, Prime Minister Debaiba, announced a series of security reforms including the dissolution of the Directorate of Judicial Police.
Najim was previously detained by Italian police in Turin, Italy on January 19, 2025 under the ICC warrant but was releasted just two days later and flown by Italian transport to Mitiga Airport in Tripoli.
