Turkey in Libya

Turkey has deep historical ties with Libya - especially with the Tripoli region of the country. These historical ties as well as political, religious, and economic factors have seen Turkey develop a strong relationship with western government of Libya.
Military Training
Turkey has several military training programs currently operating in Libya. One of these is the Special Operations in Urban Areas training course for the GNU Ministry of Interior at Eagle Nest Training Center conducted by the Specialized Training Institute for Security Operations and Turkey Training Mission.
