Khalifa Haftar
The ruler of eastern Libya, Khalifa Haftar, has a firm grip on the political process and military forces in eastern Libya. The former general under Omar Gadaffi and CIA asset has solidified is control of the eastern government. His sons are entrenched within the political structure and military establishment.
