Appointed as head of the Internal Security Service, replacing an associate of al-Kikli who was killed on May 12, 2025. Al-Wahishi was formerly the Director of the Central Security Department of the Intelligence Service. He is considered to be a security professional who had graduated from the College of Police in Libya in the 1990s. Abdulsalem Al-Zoubi.
